So finally we hit the button yesterday. It has been weeks of "I can't talk about it", with plenty of "No, I can't even reveal the name" and oodles of "The logo looks really great but I can't show you."
But it all becomes worth it when the covers come off and people get to see it fresh.
Yes, Ninefold finally went live yesterday, 5pm on Australia Day.
An enormous amount of effort has gone into making this a unique cloud brand to stand out from so many competitors that still decorate their websites with stock shots of servers and only talk in technical specifications. People seek out cloud services because they want to achieve something else - they aren't looking for virtual servers because they get excited by infrastructure architecture. It's because they have a business or creative goal they can't achieve without a cloud service to process, store or serve whatever it is they want. We want Ninefold to speak to that inspiration, creativity and motivation - not simply flog bandwidth and disk space.
Ninefold is selling the blank canvas, not the final masterpiece.
Now to see what people think...
